A weekend dedicated to the exploration of new ideas in cinema. Guest curator Ed Halter explores the role of repetition/reuse/and the remake in contemporary artists’ works. CU faculty Christina Battle and Jennifer Peterson investigate the relationship of the amateur and the Avant-Garde. Presenters will include Annette Michelson and Andy Lampert. There will also be a program of home movies from the collection of the Academy Film Archive, presented by archivist by Lynne Kirste, as well as a number of short works programs (films, videos, and installations). $9 general admission. $7 w/UCB student ID, $7 for senior citizens

Parking

Pay lot 360 (now only $1/hour!), across from the buffalo statue and next to the Duane Physics tower, is closest to Muenzinger. Free parking can be found after 5pm at the meters along Colorado Ave east of Folsom stadium and along University Ave west of Macky.
