Festival Cultures Shorts Program

Join us for Red String, a student-curated short film screening presented by the Film Festival Cultures class (CINE 2004) on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 PM in the Muenzinger Auditorium. The screening strings together moments from life’s different stages, explores the struggles and triumphs that shape the human experience.

This program represents the culmination of months of individual screenings, small group discussions, and class-wide deliberation to select a final lineup from hundreds of films.

The selected works have had a global impact, screening at major film festivals such as Sundance, South by Southwest, and Palm Springs ShortFest, with many earning top awards and Oscar nominations. The class was inspired in part by the relocation of the historic Sundance Film Festival, now taking place here in Boulder.

Red String features films by Mike Attie, Meghan O'Hara, Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck, Jim Cummings, David Gauvey Herbert, John Kelly, Emily Murnane, Kelly Pike, Agnes Skonare Karlsson, Lynn Tomlinson, and Jackie! Zhou.

This program is presented through the International Film Series. The event is free and open to the public.
